Did the hail damage my panels?

Often not, but you cannot tell from the driveway. Cracked glass, chipped frames, dented rails and torn wiring do happen, and a dated photo record settles it either way.

What happens after you call?

  • Storm day

    Storm details

Send the storm date, and a ground photo if you can take one safely.

  • First dry morning

    Ground and ladder look

Every row photographed from the ground, a ladder and the roof edge.

  • Same visit

    Data check

Your app’s clear days before and after the storm, compared for dark panels.

  • Within two business days

    Photo report

Dated photos, a row map of findings, and who should look next.

  • Afterwards

    Your call

You send the report to your insurer, installer or roofer; we answer their questions.

What is in the plan?

  • A visual check from the ground, a ladder and the roof edge
  • Dated, located photos of every row, damaged or not
  • A row map marking cracks, chips, dents and loose wiring
  • A before and after look at your app’s clear-day output
  • A plain note on who should look next
  • Copies sent wherever you ask: insurer, installer or roofer

Example: after a June hailstorm in Arvada

A two-story home in west Arvada with 20 panels on a south roof, two days after a June storm drops marble-sized hail. The app looks normal, but the owner wants a record. The inspection lead photographs every row from the ladder and roof edge and finds the glass intact, one chipped frame corner and shingle granules piled in the gutters. The owner forwards the report to their roofer and insurer.

Is it right for you?

A good fit

  • Homes in a hail path that want a record before calling the insurer
  • Owners who see a drop in their app after a storm
  • Owners who would rather not climb a wet roof to look

Probably not

  • Filing or arguing a claim; that stays between you and your insurer
  • Electrical testing or repair; call your installer or a licensed electrician
  • Roof damage away from the array; that is a roofer’s inspection

What do people ask about this plan?

Will you file my insurance claim?

No. We do not file claims, judge coverage or estimate repair costs. We give you dated photos and plain notes that you, your insurer or your adjuster can use, and we are glad to explain to them what we saw and where.

How soon after the storm?

We book the first dry morning we can after you call, and we never climb a wet or icy roof. After a big storm the calendar fills, so call early; you can also email a ground photo and we will tell you if anything looks urgent.

Can hail damage show up later?

Sometimes. A small crack or a chipped edge can let moisture in over the following months, and the first sign may be one panel trailing in your app. That is why the report includes a clear-day data check, and why output watch is worth having after a big storm.

Is this a roof inspection too?

No. We look at the array: glass, frames, rails, clips and the wiring we can see. We photograph obvious roof damage near the panels, but a roofer should inspect the roof itself, and only your installer or an electrician can test the system.

What does a storm check cost?

From $119 for a home array, confirmed from a photo or satellite view. Two-story roofs and steep pitches can add $25 to $50. If the check shows the glass also needs a wash, we can quote one for the same morning at the usual wash price.

Want this on your roof?

Tell us the address and roughly how many panels. We confirm the price from a photo first.
