A site everyone can use

What we do

• Pages use real headings, lists, tables and landmarks, so screen readers can move through them.
• Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
• Text and buttons are checked for color contrast.
• Illustrations have text alternatives that describe the idea they stand for.
• Text can be enlarged to 200% and pages reflow on small screens without sideways scrolling.
• Motion is kept small and respects your device’s reduced motion setting.
• Forms have visible labels and say clearly what went wrong if a field is missing.
• Link text says where the link goes.

Where we fall short

Some things are harder to make fully accessible:

• Visit reports and photos. Our reports rely on photos of your panels. Each one carries a written note, and on request we will send a text-only version or talk you through it by phone.
• Third-party apps. We cannot control the accessibility of your inverter or monitoring app, or of linked manuals and studies on other sites.
• The output check. The calculator should work with a keyboard and a screen reader. If any part of it does not work for you, call us and we will run the numbers with you.

We check pages with a keyboard and automated tools, and fix problems as we find them.

We reply within one business day, and aim to fix reported problems within 30 days or tell you when we will.

Other ways to book

You never need the website to work with us. You can get a quote, book a visit, change a date or ask for your report by phone or email, and we can send reports in a format that suits you, including large print or plain text.
