Under the mesas, by the creek

Golden is ten minutes from our door, and we are here weekly.

A clear glass mesa shape on white plaster with a thin stream of water running along its base.

What makes Golden roofs different?

Wind and trees. Canyon wind off Clear Creek and the mesas carries grit, and the creek’s cottonwoods drop fluff in early summer. Many roofs also sit on slopes, so pitch and ladder footing matter more than in flatter towns.

What lands on Golden panels?

  • Canyon wind

Gusts down Clear Creek Canyon drive grit and leaves against the bottom row.

  • Creek cottonwoods

Fluff and seeds from the Clear Creek trees cling to dewy glass in June.

  • Pine pollen

Late spring pollen from the foothill pines leaves a yellow film on west-side roofs.

  • Highway dust

Roofs near US 6, Highway 93 and I-70 collect road grime by late summer.

What do Golden owners ask?

Does canyon wind mean more washes?

Not always. Wind loads glass with grit, but it also blows loose dust off between storms. We read your production data first and suggest a second wash only if your clear-day numbers slide after cottonwood season. Some Golden roofs do fine with one wash a year.

Can you reach homes on steep streets?

Yes, in most cases. We park on the street or in the drive, set the ladder where the ground is level, and harness on any roof steeper than a walkable pitch. Very steep lots or roofs above retaining walls may need a site photo first, so we can plan the ladder spot.

Should I book a storm check?

Only after a real hailstorm. Check from the ground first: look for cracked glass, scattered shingle granules and a drop in your app. If you see any of those, a storm check from $119 gives you photos of every panel for the installer or insurer. If not, it can wait for your next wash.
